The Mental Health Challenges Of Everyday Living

The MIND is the most powerful asset or weapon we have. Every thought produces an emotion, whether good or bad. Mental health is a journey that is not for the faint of heart. Every day we are challenged with a multitude of decisions and choices. Someone getting up on the wrong side of the bed with a thought or an emotion that life will never get better has the potential to affect the lives of others!

Every day we read in the news that some life has been lost or changed because of mentally challenged people who have lost hope. Simplistically, we think  we can always see the warning signs of an impending mental meltdown or breakdown when it comes to the lives of others.

But can we?

The world has changed incredibly in a short period of time, and will continue to change.  Change is inevitable!

Research has proven that anxiety and depression represent the two most common mental disorders and are responsible for high morbidity and mortality. When people are going through stressful times, being anxious is not abnormal. However, being chronically anxious to the point that it now affects how you perform through your day or to the point that it is affecting your job performance or daily living tasks is a concern. When others around you recognize that you are more anxious than usual, it is also a warning sign.
